Volunteer Today

If you’ve never volunteered with us before…

We recommend signing up for a volunteer orientation. Check our calendar for the next available date.

There are 4 ways to volunteer with the EGP:

Farm

Attend a drop-in session at the Farm and to help us with a variety of farm tasks, including weeding, wheelbarrowing, shovelling, bed prep, and more!

Please note that we will have Covid-19 protocols in place. Masks are mandatory on site, and please do not attend if you are feeling any flu-like symptoms, if you’ve been in contact with anyone with a confirmed case of Covid-19, or if you have travelled outside the province within the last two weeks.

Washrooms and drinking water available on site. Please bring your own water bottle. Covered area available for storing bags (please leave valuables at home). All skill levels welcome! If you have never volunteered with us before, please sign up for an orientation session first (sessions will be listed on our website).

What to bring:
* mask
* garden gloves
* water bottle
* appropriate clothing, including hat, long sleeve, boots, rain gear when necessary (we cannot loan clothing or gear at this time)

Check our calendar for drop-in sessions.

We are the newest Farmer’s Market in North Vancouver! We are small but growing, and we are looking for volunteer help with set-up, traffic direction, and cashiering at our Wednesday or Saturday Markets. If you love the buzzing atmosphere of a farmer’s market, or love sharing your favourite recipes – this is the job for you!

Shifts are available:
Wednesdays: 1:30pm-4pm
Saturdays: 9am-12pm OR 11:30am-2:30pm

To sign up, email markets@ediblegardenproject.com

Sharing Gardens

Our incredible Sharing Garden teams work at five different sites around North Vancouver, growing food that is donated to food insecure families and individuals on the North Shore. To learn more and sign up with a Sharing Garden team, email info@ediblegardenproject.com

School Programs

EGP is active in schools around the North Shore, helping to connect young people to their food systems. We utilize school gardens and our urban farm sites to inspire awe, deliver curriculum-linked lessons, and encourage young people to farm! To help deliver awesome, garden-based elementary school programs, email schools@ediblegardenproject.com
