In the autumn of 2012 over 200 community members gathered for the Table Matters dinner and dialogue in the City Hall Atrium. It was a beautiful night filled with delicious food, music, and conversation about what building a healthy local food system. So many wonderful ideas were shared that night and during two more Table Matters events to develop the North Shore Community Food Charter.
Last fall and this spring all five of the North Shore municipalities have endorsed the North Shore Food Charter. Congratulations! Over the summer we will also be working with the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations to share the Food Charter.
Over the last few months the Table Matters Network has been working on a very cool new project that will help bring the Food Charter to life across our communities. We want to share it with you! Please join us at Loutet Farm on July 10th to celebrate the success of the Food Charter, learn about our new project, and network. Light refreshments will be shared, and please feel free to drop in anytime between 4:30pm-6:30pm.
