New Community Garden Open House

Are you dreaming of tending a small community garden plot? Do you live in the City of North Vancouver? You are invited to join us to learn about the new community garden that will be built at Saint Georges Ave and East 1st Street this summer – the Charros Community Garden (just south of the Lower Lonsdale Community Garden). We will outline the process to get a plot in this new community garden, receive your feedback and suggestions on the design of the garden, and tell you about the opportunities available over the summer to help us get this garden off the ground! If you are a curious neighbour and want to learn more about what is going on or if you would like a plot at the garden, this is the event for you to attend! If you cannot make it, please make sure that you sign up for our Charros Community Garden Updates (click here) so we can share all the information from this event with you.

When: Tuesday July 5th at 7pm – 8pm
Where: Boardroom, North Shore Neighbourhood House, 225 East 2nd Street North Vancouver

This is an Open House style input session, so please feel free to drop in any time between 7pm and 8pm to see the design for the garden and provide your feedback, learn about the process to receive a garden plot, and meet Emily and Heather from the Edible Garden Project who will be able to answer your questions.

If you want a plot at this community garden or would like to continue to receive updates on the garden’s progress, you must click on the following link to express your interest and sign up for the Charros Community Garden Updates. Click here to sign up: http://eepurl.com/euUjM. Signing up for the Charros Community Garden Updates does not guarantee that you will receive a plot; however, it will ensure that you stay informed on how to get a plot and when they will be available.

The Charros Community Garden is funded by the Charros Foundation and the City of North Vancouver, and it will be a garden managed by the North Shore Community Garden Society. The Edible Garden Project will be managing the construction and start up of the garden.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Emily at volunteer@ediblegardenproject.com
