Wednesday May 29th is Day of the Honey Bee!
We’re partnering with the North Shore Bee Club to celebrate Day of the Honey Bee. Meet backyard bee keepers, experts, check out demonstration information, honey, and the Loutet Farm bee hives. Festivities start at 4pm alongside the Farm Gate Sales, and will end with the community potluck at 7pm.
Following our Loutet Farm Workbee (4pm-6:30pm) we are hosting a Potluck Dinner. Join us to share some food and relax on the farm!
Bring your neighbours, family, and friends; bring the people that normally wouldn’t venture out to the farm to work, but can be lured by the temptation of delicious food.
Think of it as an impromptu block party, a break from the kitchen table, or just an opportunity to meet new, wonderful, people.
As if you needed more reasons to come… May 29th also happens to be the Day of the Honeybee! We’ll be celebrating with local beekeepers on site, and lots of opportunities to meet our new hives.
Please bring a small dish to share. Be sure to bring your own plate and cutlery.
