We are so excited to be making art on the farm this summer! At camp we will be learning new techniques such as making earth pigments, botanical dyeing, weaving, solar photography, working with plant fibres, and more. We will share our art together as well as looking at, discussing, and being inspired by other artists who have made land based art. Each day we will explore a new technique, and we will also have self directed time for students to take those techniques further or work on a project of their own with the support of our art camp mentors.
Earth Wonder is for aspiring young artists, lovers of nature, and kids who are 12 – 16yrs old who are excited to experiment and play in a safe and encouraging environment!
Due to funding from the City of Vancouver Children and Youth Initiatives Fund, we are so happy that our camp fee operates on a sliding scale basis. We believe that you know your financial situation best, so this decision is entirely up to you with no need to provide proof of income. We want to remove barriers to attending where we can, so this is an entirely judgement free zone!
