Last summer an enthusiastic group of 20 or so people came together – many of them had never met before – to transform one person’s backyard into a food producing oasis. We built raised beds, a bee foraging habitat, assembled bee hives, and more. This was the first of what we’re calling “Building Urban Garden Blitzes” or BUG Blitzes.
Lead by a dedicated volunteer, Evonne, and supported by the Table Matters Working Group – interest in participating in BUG Blitzes has exploded this year. Through the Spring and Summer there will be approximately one per month – or more if we can find enthusiastic volunteers to help organize. Click here to find out more about what a BUG Blitz is all about.
This BUG Blitz will be held on Saturday, July 28th from 1pm – 5pm at 908 Adderley St, North Vancouver. Location map.
