Griffin is a student at UBC, studying Global Resource Systems with a focus on sustainable agriculture while pursuing a Master’s of Management at Sauder School of Business. He is passionate about using novel technology in the agriculture sector to improve the environmental sustainability and social equity of global food systems, and hopes to apply his knowledge of food systems and business management to sustainably feeding the world’s growing population. Griffin is currently working on a research project at UBC that focuses on converting municipal waste into edible and nutritious mushrooms. With several years of landscaping and related experience, Griffin is excited to get back out into the field and to help the Edible Garden Project serve the North Shore community’s food security needs.
