Skillshare Workbee: Reading the Garden – Troubleshooting Pests & Soil Deficiencies

Where: Sutherland Schoolyard Market Garden, 1860 Sutherland Ave, North Vancouver

Our skillshare workbees are the perfect volunteer opportunity for folks who want to learn about gardening through informal workshops and knowledge sharing.

After a mini-workshop on garden topics ranging from  growing intensively in small spaces, to compost, to planting a food forest, we will continue the conversation as we garden together in support of the sharing gardens. The sharing gardens are designed, maintained and harvested by volunteers in order to make delicious fresh food accessible to everyone!

At this Skillshare Workbee you’ll learn about reading your garden – what are the state of your plants, soil, and the weeds growing there telling you about soil nutrient and mineral deficiencies, and why certain pests keep showing up.
