Amy Ing, Education Coordinator

Amy grew up in Uxbridge, Ontario on a 100 acre family run farm. Her love of growing food
comes from an early age and this stems into her passion working with kids and youth. She has been working in Toronto for the past two years upon graduating from UBC with a Conservation degree in Forestry. She has worked with city recreation and camp programs running garden and nature-based programs and at the UBC Farm. As an Education Coordinator, Amy will be working with students to understand where, how and what it takes to grow food and how to build an equitable food system. She is excited and enthusiastic to bring her creativity of hands-on activities outside of the classroom to inspire and empower the next generation of environmental stewards.
