5,000 free lunches will be prepared by culinary students using fabulous food donated by local food wholesalers and others – perfectly edible food that may otherwise have been destined for an industrial composting facility.
The point? To raise awareness of how much food is wasted from farm to fork, and do it in a fun way that promotes all the good things people are already doing right.
